Welcome to Renaissance Capture the Flag
Welcome to Renaissance Capture the Flag, a bi-monthy capture the flag game for homeschoolers of all ages. We play a style of Capture the Flag that involves foam swords, shields, daggers, spears, foam arrows and bows. The game also includes a serious amount of improvisational acting (mostly around dying!). It is cooperative and fun spirited.
We meet at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square, PA on the Second and Fourth Friday of each month from 2pm-4pm. Please see the Location and Times section of the website for more complete directions to the park.
I am so sorry everybody but will not be having rctf today. ;( We will however be having a make-up day on the 19th. Thank you all and see you next Friday.

This would be new for us and my 6 year old would love it. I live in Delaware (just over the border) and I have a 2 year old afternoon napper. If we were a bit late, could we still join in or do we really need to be there right at 2? Also, could my 2 year old run around and join in? He loves sword fighting!
Sure, you can join in whenever you arrive. And there are often younger sibs playing around on the side lines. All are welcome!
Will there be capture the flag today-Dec. 28?

Hi! We are new to homeschooling and live in the Kennett area. Can we join? I have a 9-year-old and a pre-k – both boys, both would love this idea!
ABSOLUTELY! Please join us! Wylie and I will not be there this week because we are out of town, but the games will still be going on.
Will you be doing this during the summer too?
No.We take a break in the summer because people’s schedules are so varied. Look for us in September!

Weather looks like it is clearing, so YES! we will have capture the flag today! It’s a muddy mess, so dress for the weather!
Please remind participants not to use other people’s weapons without permission. My daughter spent quite a bit of time making a new weapon for yesterday’s game, and someone took it without asking and used it in a rough manner and broke it :(

Are the nerf n-strike swords allowed?
Sorry! Those are too hard for our game… The dollar store swords are fine. What we need is weapons that are flexible and compressible.
